Tasting notes
The pink wine of the Idi Di Marzo estate comes from a blend of 30% Malbec and 70% Montepulciano grapes. The harvest is manual and the Malbec clusters are harvested in the first ten days of September while those of Montepulciano in the last ten. Maceration in contact with the skins is very short, and then fermentation in steel tanks continues at controlled temperatures. Only when the fermentation of the Montepulciano is over the two wines are blended. Afterwards, it refines in stainless steel tanks for two months and in bottles for another month.
The wine has a beautiful bright pink color. The nose is fresh, revealing hints of red fruits, especially cherry, with references to strawberry and plum. The particular balance between freshness and drinkability allows this pink wine to be a perfect match for aperitifs, first courses and fish dishes.
