Tasting Notes

The Perricone “CUCULÀ” is an extraordinary wine which originates from the wandering spirit of the Sicilian population, culturally and historically linked to travel and particularly to navigation. The term “Cuculà” in the local dialect stays for “moving quickly, without keeping control.”

In terms of appearance, CUCULÀ presents itself as a ruby red color with purplish reflections. On the nose, we find notes of dark fruits, including blackberries and plums, with hints of black pepper, as well as earthy notes and a touch of aromatic herbs.

On the palate, it offers flavors of ripe black fruits, such as black cherries and blackberries. It is a full-bodied wine, warm, moderately tannic, and savory, with a long persistence that, when aged, provides pleasant tertiary notes of tobacco and leather.

CUCULÀ pairs perfectly with soups and red meats, including elaborate preparations.
