Tasting notes
The Red of the Idi Di Marzo estate comes from a blend of 20% Malbec and 80% Montepulciano grapes. The harvest is manual and the Malbec clusters are harvested in the first ten days of September while those of Montepulciano in the last ten. The musts macerate and ferment separately in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Only when the fermentation of the Montepulciano is over the two wines are blended, which then refine in stainless steel vats for six months and in bottles for three months.
At sight it shows a ruby red with bright reflections. On the nose, intense notes of black currants mix with wild blackberries. In the mouth there is a perfect correspondence to the olfactory taste with a slightly spicy finish. It pairs with cold cuts, fresh cheeses and both white and red meat.
